1. Information We Collect

To provide you with accurate astrological charts and compatibility insights, we collect the following:

Information You Provide to Us:

• Account Information: Name or nickname, email address, and phone number (if you create an account).
• Astrological Data: Date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth (city/state/country). This is essential to calculate your natal chart.

Information Collected Automatically:

• Device data (Operating System, IP address, device identifier, language preference).
• Usage logs (which topics you matched on, frequency of app usage).

Information from Third Parties:

• If you log in via Apple or Google, we receive basic profile information as permitted by your account settings.

2. How We Use Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Sonder utilizes advanced Artificial Intelligence models provided by third parties, including OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), and Google (Gemini), to generate highly personalized astrological and compatibility reports.

• Data Processing: We transmit specific astrological data points (e.g., planetary placements, aspects, and compatibility queries) to these AI providers via their secure APIs.
• Privacy Protection: We do not send your directly identifying information (such as your email address or phone number) to these AI models. We rely on enterprise/API agreements with these providers, which generally prohibit them from using your data to train their public models.

3. How We Share Your Information

WE DO NOT SELL YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION.

We share your information only in the following specific ways:

• With Other Users (Link Sharing & Matching): This is a core feature of Sonder. When you generate a link and share it with others, or when you click on another user's link to calculate a compatibility report (synastry) on a specific topic, the resulting compatibility insights, as well as relevant parts of your astrological profile, will be shared with and visible to the user who generated the link. By participating in a match, you consent to this sharing.
• With AI & Service Providers: As mentioned in Section 2, and with infrastructure partners (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) that host our servers securely in the United States.
• For Legal Reasons: If required to comply with law enforcement, legal processes, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sonder, our users, or others.
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete your Sonder account and data at any time.

• In-App: Navigate to Settings > Delete Account.
• Via Email: Contact us at [email protected] with the subject "Delete My Account," including your registered username or phone number. We will process your request promptly.

Please note: If you delete your account, the compatibility reports you previously generated with other users may still be visible to them in their accounts, but your identifying name will be anonymized.

5. Protecting Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under the age of thirteen (13). We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use Sonder. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it immediately.

6. Do Not Track & Analytics

We may use third-party analytics tools to understand how users interact with our App. Currently, our App does not respond to "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals from browsers or devices.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the App or on our website. Continued use of Sonder indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.

8. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy and any disputes arising out of or related to it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Sonder Technologies Inc. is a Delaware C Corporation.
